About Me

Hello! My name is Annie. I'm a writer, actor, filmmaker, fashion lover, Anglophile, Francophile, literature geek, movie aficionado, music listener, traveler, dreamer, and...adventurer.

I love chiffon petticoats and pretty dresses that spin out when I twirl.  I love black skinny jeans and fierce eye makeup.  I think every girl should wear flowers in her hair, now and then.  But a girl should also have one (or five) go-to outfits that make her feel powerful and like she could totally kick someone's butt if she needed to. I like wearing dresses from the 1960's that make me resemble an anachronism, and I own an authentic 1920's cloche hat worthy of The Great Gatsby.  Doesn't everyone? I believe the perfect accessory is a good book, but a beautiful handbag to carry one in doesn't hurt, either. I keep nearly every item of clothing I've ever purchased because, hey, a girl never knows when she might want those neon floral silk pants again (actually, I've worn those pants every spring for several years).

When I put together an outfit, I'm usually inspired by a character or historical time period. I've used this styling method since I was five. When it's snowing and miserable outside, for instance, life is much more bearable if you're wearing a Scandinavian sweater and your hair is done up in Heidi braids. Everyone should remember what it's like to be five.

For me, clothes provide the costumes to my life. This blog is a scrapbook of those clothes and everything else I love. I hope you will love it, too, and be inspired as you adventure through your very own whimsical WONDERLAND.
